APPIN GIRL (4) returned from a lay-off last start with a strong win by half a length over 5f at this track. Has a perfect record over this journey and is all set to make it two-for-two this prep. NASHIRA (1) opened this campaign with a win two runs back then finished 2 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 5f at this track. Settles back early but winds up late. Will prove tough to beat. SAFEWORK (3) did well to score at Doomben two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when fifth over 6f at Doomben, beaten 2.75 lengths after working home well. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time. RALPHIE (2) was safely held when ninth last time out over 6f at Doomben, beaten 15 lengths, after a win at Gold Coast at the previous outing. In contention this time.
