HATASU (7) finished 1.5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m at this track three weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Settles back early but winds up late. Will be tough to stop. AICHI ICON (1) is progressing well this campaign. Opened with a fifth at Hawkesbury two starts back then landed the prize by 1.4 lengths as public elect last time out after being in contention on the turn over 1m at Scone. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is good enough to figure in the finish. CONNEWARRE (6) settled well back from a good draw last time before closing well to finish fourth, beaten 3 lengths, over 7½f at this track. Was outdashed but got going late and the extra ground looks a big plus. Rates highly on best figures. THE IRISH (3) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 1m at this track. Was outdashed but got going late and appears suited by the longer journey. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
