STARSONUS (8) is a two-start maiden who was unplaced on debut then improved to finish third last time over 6f at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths. Looks close to a win. FREE AS THE WIND (11) is yet to break through but has been in the money two times including last start when second over 6¾f at Doomben. Has a good record at this distance with two top-three results from three starts. Should park just off the speed. One to consider. READY FOR THE TRIP (6) missed the frame on debut then improved last time when 3.5 lengths away in third over 6f at Gold Coast. Has the addition of blinkers. Further improvement to come.
