Group 3 winner SHOOTING FOR GOLD (2) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish eighth, beaten 3 lengths, over 6f in the G3 WJ Healy Stakes at this track. Will be tough to hold out. TECTONIC PLATE (11) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 6f65yards at Ballina, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she can win again. EN POINTE (8) returns from a lay-off of three-and-a-half months after back-to-back wins to close last campaign, the latest over 6½f at this track. Can pick up where she left off. MANHOOD (7) comes here off a break of nine weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 5½f at Rosehill. Has a strong when resuming record, scoring on three occasions from five starts. Comes here with definite top-three claims.
