Group 1 placegetter STEFI MAGNETICA (17) travelled in a rearwards position then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 1.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 6f at Doomben when when resuming from a lay-off. Tackles a longer journey this time. Backmarker who keeps coming. Will prove hard to hold out. SCHWARZ (7) Group 3 winner. Was ridden positively and led throughout to score over 7f in the G3 Hawkesbury Guineas last time. Can push forward again here and rates a leading hope. Group 2 winner CORNICHE (4) drifted well back last start before storming home to score by half a length over 6f in the G3 Gold Coast Guineas at Sunshine Coast. One of the main contenders. STEPARTY (3) Group 1 placegetter. Booted up from the inside draw to race on the speed only to be claimed late and finish 2 lengths away in sixth when resuming last start over 6f in the LR The Straight Six at Flemington. Solid top-three prospects.
