ROYAL AUSSIE (2) is back from a lay-off of three months. Raced once last campaign and finished third over 6f in the G1 Mercury Sprint at Greyville. Has an impressive strike rate at this distance with four wins from seven runs and is expected to be in the finish. SURJAY (7) returns from a layoff of three months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5¾f at Turffontein Standside. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with three minor placings. Should be hard to stop. RASCOVA (1) is having her first run since July 28. Has a strong record when fresh with two wins from three runs, the most recent over 7f at this track at the start of last prep. Likely to take beating. HLUHLUWE (10) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on July 28 finishing seventh and beaten 3.5 lengths over 1m1f in the G1 Champions Cup at Greyville. Worth plenty of thought.
