He has been competitive from around this mark in the past and is selected to defy top-weight from the inside draw. Stepping back up to 1m may suit the unexposed handicap debutant BLACK STORM (8) who stayed on well to score attempting 7f here last month. Three-time course winner WALHAAN (2) might do better revisiting the flat after being well beaten hurdling at Down Royal recently. PIER PRESSURE (6) finished a decent third tackling track and trip. Needs to be noted.
