FIELD OF MYRTLE (7) turned in a moderate run over this journey last time out, settling out the back and failing to come on when eighth over 6f at Eagle Farm. Andrew Mallyon gets the best out of this five-year-old mare. Has the class to take care of this field. DEFIANT SPIRIT (3) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fifth over 6f at this track. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. SHOT OF WHISKEY (6) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Eagle Farm, beaten 4 lengths into fifth. Finds a nice race and can bounce back.
