LACEMAKER (6) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 12 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when sixth over 6f at Pakenham Synthetic, beaten 2.5 lengths. Best figures measure up nicely. Makes plenty of appeal. WILD AND FREE (7) ran below expectations last time after being prominent on the turn at Ballarat Synthetic, finishing seventh and beaten 10 lengths starting at 6/1. Finds a nice race and can make amends. MURRAY FACTOR (1) comes here off a break of four months. Scored over 6½f at Bendigo to launch the last campaign. Lines up. For the first time for trainer holly mckechnie. Has to be respected. DON'T TELL SHERIFF (3) turned in a much better effort last time out to score by half a length over 7f at Mildura. Likely to be there at the finish again.
