MARY KATHERINE (9) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 12 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 1m at Colonial Downs, beaten 4 lengths. This is a nice drop in grade so she is perfectly placed to score. HOPEFUL CURE (1) hit the frame when resuming two runs back at Colonial Downs but couldn't back it up last start when eighth, beaten 11 lengths, over 5½f at Colonial Downs (Turf). This is a nice drop in grade so she can find the winners' list. HEYBACKATCHA (4) never really threatened when resuming last time out, finishing midfield and beaten 8 lengths over 1m at this track (Turf). Can feature in the finish. CANNY LAND (6) proved too strong two runs ago but was not as effective last time out when fifth over 1m1/2f at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Nicely placed to play a leading role.
