TACTICAL JOKE (5) finished second when resuming at this track then couldn't repeat the dose last time when fourth at Laurel (Dirt) over 7f when beaten 11 lengths. Has a strong finish. Overdue and shapes as a leading chance this line-up. X GENE (4) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 6½f at Timonium (Dirt) when second, beaten 2 lengths. Likely improver so she should pay to follow. BOLD BOSS (2) will find this a little easier than her second on debut two-and-a-half weeks ago, beaten 6 lengths at the end of 5½f at this track (Dirt). Has plenty of upside so she is a strong chance. BUBBLING UP (3) resumes from a lay-off of seven months. Has filled a minor placing at both when resuming runs. Opened last prep with a third over 6f at Fairgrounds. Definite top-three chance.
