WESLEY THOMAS (5) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track (Dirt), finishing second and only half a length from the winner at the end of 5½f after being prominent at the corner. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. RUSSIAN HAMMER (7) fought on for third last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt), making it three minor placings in a row. Should race just off the speed despite the wide draw. Looks well placed this line-up so expect another big run. RAY'S GONE ASTRAY (6) went forward when resuming last start and proved too strong, getting home by 1.75 lengths over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. BADBADBOBBY (1) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fifth over 1m1/4f at Parx (Dirt). Likely improver who should be about the money.
