TIZ LORD (3) resumed last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt) and showed little early speed, settling well back but hitting the line hard to finish third, beaten 1.1 lengths. A repeat of the latest effort will see him in the finish again. INDEPENDENT PAUL (2) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 10 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 6f at Saratoga, beaten 8 lengths. Will enjoy a drop in class so he will be hard to beat. GENTLE BREEZE (1) returns from a lay-off of 11 months and did score when resuming when last in work at Gulfstream Park (Dirt) over 5f. Lines up for the first time for the E T Allard stable. Among the better hopes while fresh. SECRET ZIPPER (4) is a promising galloper who resumes from a break. Last raced when second over 1m1/2f at Laurel (Dirt) five months ago which was the only run of that prep. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a lay-off in two starts. Best figures stack up nicely.
