CURVINO (8) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 13 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 1m1/2f at Churchill Downs, beaten 8 lengths. Finds an easier assignment and can find the winner's circle. MALA (3) finished 12 lengths adrift in tenth when resuming from a break and having his first look at a turf track last start over this course and distance. BROTHER TONY (4) displayed plenty of early toe over 1m at Los Alamitos (Dirt) last time and went on to score by half a length. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is worth serious consideration. TARIFF (7) has been kept fresh since finishing eighth over 1m at Santa Anita (Turf) eight weeks ago. Was a determined winner two starts back. Can sneak into the finish.
