SUNRISE JOURNEY (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Los Alamitos, beaten 5 lengths into fourth. Kyle Frey gets the best out of this nine-year-old gelding. Has the ability to put the recent run of form behind him. STORMY SAMURAI (5) turned in an eye-catching run over 4f124yards at Los Alamitos Qh (Dirt) last time, ridden back before coming home with a powerful run to finish third. Will drift back but is expected to be in the finish again. BAG'S GOLD (8) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when tenth over 6f at Santa Anita (Turf) after he settled well back. Will strip fitter and will be tough to beat. Lay-off. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
