SMILING BEAST (10) wasted no time getting off the mark as favourite on debut over 6f at Santa Anita (Dirt) 11 weeks ago and has not appeared since. Has plenty of upside and can win again. LMLOOKNFORMISCHIEF (6) ran third at his latest appearance over 6f at Pleasanton, finishing 3 lengths from the winner. Has the right credentials. KERRY GOLD (2) missed the frame on turf over 1m2f at Santa Anita in a then filled a minor placing last start on the same surface at Santa Anita, beaten 0.3 lengths over the 1m journey. Goes well at this trip, recording three minor placings and has winning claims on best figures. SO I'M TOLD (1) hit the frame two starts ago at Los Alamitos but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 6 lengths over 6½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
