GIVER NOT A TAKER (7) travelled in a rearwards position and failed to live up to expectations over 6½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt) last time out when in the market. That followed a good second the run prior. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. SMUGGLER'S RUN (11) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Pleasanton, beaten 5 lengths. Meets a stronger field but he is fitter and good enough to feature. ULTIMATE (3) lines up on the back of a 7 length fourth over 6½f at Santa Anita. Well placed and likely to feature. TRUSTY RUSTY (2) produced another moderate effort last start when 3.5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 6f at Los Alamitos. Has his share of talent and is a top-three prospect.
