ASTERN MAGIC (2) started at 9/2 last time on the back of a win at this track two starts ago but was below his best, finishing fifth over 6½f at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. A BIG CHANCE (1) was safely held when ninth last time out over 6½f at this track, beaten 7 lengths. That followed a win at Kununurra at the previous outing. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. ANKLE ROLEX (3) was given time to settle from an outside draw last time then wound up strongly in the straight for an eye-catching third over 6½f at this track. Expected to feature again.
