POP MAGIC (3) filled a minor placing when fresh from a lay-off two starts ago. Could not back that up last time when 8 lengths away in sixth over 6f at this track. Well placed and is among the leading players. POMPEII EMPIRE (8) hasn't been far away lately, beaten 0.8 lengths at his most recent appearance when second over 5½f at this track. Should be prominent from the outset. Should give backers a sight.
