AUBAINE (7) missed the placings on debut two starts back then ran a better race and finished 2. 5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 7f29yards at Sale after being in the firing line on the bend. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. NEWCOMBE (4) remains a maiden after nine runs. Met with plenty of support last time but after being in the firing line on the corner could only manage to finish sixth over 1m at Moe. This offers him a great chance of breaking through. DUNTULM LASS (11) is racing well without winning. Last start finished third, beaten 7 lengths, over 1m2f at Pakenham. Among the chances again. KING TAGALOA (9) is a three-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 5 lengths when sixth over 7½f at Mornington. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat.
