HIGHLANDS (1) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing second and beaten only 0.8 lengths over 7½f at Sandown-Hillside after being in contention on the turn. Tackling a more suitable race so he is sure to be right there at the finish. BRITISH POET (2) finished 3.5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 6f at Pakenham after being in the firing line on the turn two weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Best figures should see him run well. SPOKEN HEIRESS (5) was ridden quietly then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 3.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 6f at Pakenham when resuming from a lay-off. Steps up in distance. Backmarker who gets home hard. Should be competitive. SHEZATEMPEST (6) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing ninth at Pakenham over 1m. Placed to advantage and can make amends.
