MAGIC SORCERER (11) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 7¼f at Kempsey after being prominent from the outset. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Facing a tougher assignment but he is up to the task. WOLF CLUB (4) is a maiden galloper resuming. After a lay-off of three-and-a-half months. Closed last campaign with a fourth over 6f at Ballarat Synthetic, beaten 4 lengths. Filled a minor placing in a recent Muswellbrook trial. Set to run well. PARUNA (7) is a three-start maiden who finished sixth, beaten 2.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Kembla Grange. Bold showing expected with added fitness this time. TRUTH I FEAR (14) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6½f at Coonamble, beaten just 0.6 lengths. Suitably placed so he can feature again.
