THE IRISH (2) has been thereabouts, the latest finishing fourth over 1m4f at Eagle Farm but overdue for another win. This is far easier. Well placed so expecting a strong run. GIDDY GAN'S JOY (4) ran below expectations last time at Doomben, finishing 11th and beaten 8 lengths starting at 9/1. Tackling a more suitable race this time so she is perfectly placed to score. WAITAPU (3) improved sharply on his fifth two starts back at Muswellbrook with a win as public elect over 1m2 1/2f at Tamworth two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. MORE SAINTLY (5) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Ballina, finishing fourth and only 1.75 lengths from the winner at the end of 1m5 1/4f. Best figures measure up. Set to run well again.
