MAWSONS EXPEDITION (2) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound second over 4f at this track after being in the firing line on the corner. Placed to advantage and can take this out. BILLYBAGO (5) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when ninth, beaten 11 lengths, over 6¼f at Kempsey. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. FAYOGOLD (8) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when she was beaten 4 lengths into sixth over 5f190yards at Grafton. Goes up a rung or two but she is fitter and up to the task. PHANTOM PALACE (10) could only manage to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, at her latest appearance over 4f at this track after she gave away a big start. Finds the right race and is worth consideration.
