BIG HAT WILLIE (6) finished second two runs back at Del Mar (Turf) then improved last time out to score by 2.75 lengths over 6f at Horseshoe Indianapolis (Dirt). Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to score again. MAJOR BLUE (3) finished ninth over 7f at Saratoga (Dirt) at his most recent appearance on July 26. Has found the right race. HIGHER STANDARD (1) resumes. Didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on September 5 finishing 11th and beaten 17 lengths over 6½f at Kentucky (Turf). Has a decent record at this track. Strong claims on his best form. MIACOMET (5) improved last time out, finishing 2.75 lengths from the winner in second over 6f at Horseshoe Indianapolis. This looks a good race for him so another forward showing looks likely.
