Multiple Group 3 placegetter BATTLE OF NORMANDY (6) last appeared when he finished third over 1m2 1/2f in the G3 Dueling Grounds Derby at Kentucky (Turf) on September 3. Comes here with definite claims. FREDO (3) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 21 starts. Did a good job last start to finish third over 1m1/2f at Gulfstream Park, beaten 0.4 lengths. Junior Alvarado gets the best out of this five-year-old entire. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is right in contention. ALEXIS ZORBA (13) returned from a break of -1 days with a solid second last start at Aqueduct (Turf) over 6f when he was handy all the way. The extra journey should play into his hands. Can win this without surprising. MILLERS RITE (5) registered his first win last start over 6f at Oaklawn Park (Dirt), getting home by 1.3 lengths. Joseph C Bealmear was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
