DORADO (2) didn't do a bad job when second last start after being in the firing line on the bend over 6½f at this track, beaten one length. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including two wins. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. SMOOTH RICO (7) turned in a modest performance when fifth last time out over 7f at this track, beaten 16 lengths. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves plenty of thought. GABRIEL SEVEN (3) got the prize two runs ago but couldn't follow that up last time out when third over 6½f at this track, beaten 4 lengths. In contention this time.
