KOOL KATHMANDU (7) started at 9/4 last time but could only manage sixth, beaten 3.5 lengths, at Finger Lakes over 6f. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Leading contender. ON THE COME UP (3) finished one length behind the winner in second over 4½f at this track (Dirt) last start after lifting strongly to score in a. Darius Thorpe stays aboard. Best form puts him right in this. EL DE CHIREL (6) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on September 2 finishing fourth and beaten 5 lengths over 4f at Timonium (Dirt). Worth plenty of thought. MON GATEAU (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at this track, beaten 3 lengths into fourth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
