CAVENDISH (2) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Laurel (Dirt), finishing fourth and only 2.5 lengths from the winner at the end of 1m after being in the firing line on the bend. Perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. CROWN THAT SAINT (8) was comfortably accounted for when second last time out over 6½f at this track, beaten 4 lengths after being prominent at the turn. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Has raced five times here and has never missed the frame. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot make amends. TOUCHED UP (6) accounted for a maiden field over 7f at this track (Dirt) last start, finishing 1.75 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. Carlos Eduardo Lopez was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. This is tougher but he cannot be underestimated. SAM WHEAT (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1/2f at this track, beaten 27 lengths into ninth. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
