ISTHMUS (8) impressed last time when she scored by 0.8 lengths over this journey at Flemington on September 22. Down in the weights this time so she is a leading contender again. PASSEGGIATA (5) drifted back then made late ground to finish sixth when when resuming from a lay-off last start over 4¾f at Moonee Valley. Has never been out of the placings at this stage of the prep. Should park just off the speed. Expected to be in the finish. EXPRESSIVENESS (6) finished 3 lengths from the winner in tenth last time out at this track over 6f. Is yet to miss the frame from three starts at this distance, including two wins. Tougher company here but looks up to the task. CHINNY BOOM (2) was popular when resuming last start over 5½f at this track but finished tenth, beaten 6 lengths. Second up record is very strong. Can do better this time.
