MATRON BULLWINKEL (10) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at her last couple of runs including a third most recently over 1m2f at this track when beaten 1.3 lengths. Ethan Brown has registered two minor placings when on board. Expecting a bold showing. Group 2 placegetter FERAGO (2) got a long way back when 14 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1m6f at Flemington last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Flemington the run before. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. Group 1 placegetter TEEWATERS (1) got a long way back when 12 lengths from the winner in 13th over 1m2f at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Casterton the run before. Has raced two times at this course and distance and is yet to be beaten. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. THE DEVIL IN HER (11) did well to score two runs ago then turned in a nice run last time out when third over 1m4f at Sandown-Lakeside, beaten half a length. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
