BLUE RENEGADE (1) was less than a length from the winner in second at Caulfield Heath on debut before breaking through for a strong win over 5f at Sandown-Hillside last start. Capable of further improvement and can go on with the job. HUSK (4) showed good early speed and raced just off the lead before lifting to score by 1.3 lengths over 5f at Sandown-Hillside last start. Among the top chances again. INTEREST POINT (3) led all the way to score on debut over 5f at Mornington two-and-a-half weeks ago. Likely improver with bright prospects again. MELLIFLUENT (2) is back from a lay-off of four months. Won on debut at the only appearance last prep, scoring in a 5½f contest at Canterbury by a nose. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Right in the contest.
