BACASH (1) has started twice, missing the frame on debut then doing a better job to finish second last time, beaten one length over 5f in the G3 Maribyrnong Plate at Flemington. Heading the right way and is expected to prove tough to beat. BOMBAY BOOM (2) faced the starter for the first time and finished eighth last start at Rosehill over 5½f, beaten 3 lengths. Will be better for that run. Leading contender. MALDINI (3) settled well back on debut last start and failed to threaten when eighth over 5f in the LR Merson Cooper Stakes at Caulfield. Better for the experience and can turn things around. MUCHNESS (9) is a first-starter by leading sire Lope De Vega from the stakes-winner Muchly. Fitter for a recent trial placing.
