MIR (3) really dug deep to score by 0.8 lengths three runs back at this track before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Will drift back but wind up late. Leading contender. WELD (4) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0.7 lengths from the winner in third over 7f at Roebourne after being in contention on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. CASTILLO DEL LAGO (5) last appeared when he finished fifth over 1m1 1/2f at Narrogin on April 14. Definite top-three chance. PROTECTED ACTION (2) finished 3.9 lengths away from the winner last time at Roebourne and gets some weight relief here. Could sneak into the finish at odds.
