KING'S HALO (8) is back from a lay-off after closing last campaign with a couple of wins, the latest over 7f at Townsville on January 18. Record at this track is strong. Expected to be in the finish. BLUE STRATUM (7) held on well to finish second last time out over 5f at Townsville after leading for much of the way. Well-placed and will take running down. SHINES (3) resumes. Didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on 16/04/2025, finishing ninth and beaten 8 lengths over 6f at Warwick Farm. Under the care of new trainer Steven Royes this prep. Definite top-three chance. ZI WIN (6) finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5f at Atherton, beaten 2.5 lengths. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to take this out.
