SPIRIT MEISTER (4) is close to breaking through, last start finishing just a head away in third over 6f at Townsville after being prominent from the outset. Steps up a level but he is good enough to figure in the finish. ROUGH CUT JEWEL (3) improved sharply on his seventh two starts back at Townsville with a win over 5f at Cooktown two weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Going up a level this time but he is up to the challenge. COUNTER COMMAND (5) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Innisfail over 6f after being in contention all the way. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. BURNS TO EMBRACE (6) finished 3.9 lengths away from the winner last time at Innisfail and gets some weight relief here. Record here is impressive with three wins from six starts. Too good to ignore.
