GIFT OF THE HEART (5) improved sharply on his sixth two starts back at Ascot with success over 7f at Ascot three weeks ago, getting home by a nose after being in the firing line on the turn. Clint Johnston-Porter gets the best out of this four-year-old gelding. No reason he cannot salute again. BIRDIEAGLE (4) finished 12th two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 7f at Ascot, beaten only a nose after being in the firing line on the turn. Nicely placed to take this out. BENJI'S (3) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when seventh, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 6½f at Mt Barker after he travelled towards the rear of the field. Won at his only start at this longer journey and shapes as a leading player. STARCHIENNE (6) scored in a at Belmont Park but was below her best last time when fifth over 7f at Belmont Park. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
