STREET MASCHINO (5) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race when fresh from a lay-off last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 2.25 lengths over 6f at this track when he worked home well. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. KALGAN (2) turned in a fine effort to win by a nose at this track and distance last start in a far better run. Must raise the bar but he has the talent to test this line-up. PRIVATE SAPLING (3) accounted for a maiden field over 5½f at this track last start, finishing a nose ahead of the nearest rival. Ms Kyra Yuill was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. This is tougher but he cannot be underestimated. EZELOVE (4) was prominent at the corner and finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6½f at this track, beaten a nose. Will benefit from that outing. Placed to advantage so expect another forward showing.
