BOTH SIDES NOW (5) showed good early dash and raced on the speed at the first run back from a break last start before fading to finish 9 lengths back in ninth over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside. Rates highly and expected to go well. SECOND FIX (4) was well in commission on debut last start but found one better over 6f at Bairnsdale. Has a low draw so he shouldn't be a maiden for long. SHUBAEL (7) finished third last time over 6f27yards at Geelong, beaten 3.5 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing. RUSSIAN ESCAPE (3) finished third last time over 6½f at this track when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 2.5 lengths. Nicely placed to take this out.
