EVER GIVEN (8) was a narrow winner in a at Kerang then in the placings last time at Benalla. Down in the weights on last run. Will find this assignment a little tougher but should be in the finish. PILL BOX (16) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was prominent at the corner before being beaten 4 lengths into tenth over 5f at Werribee. Fitter and sure to run well. JAY GATSBY (2) was responsible for a solid effort last time out when third at Mornington over 6f, beaten a long neck. Ready to win. THE WAYFARER (5) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on September 16 finishing fifth and beaten 5 lengths over 5f at Pooncarie. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with three minor placings. Worth plenty of thought.
