EAGLE EXPRESS (11) finished third on debut five months ago, beaten 2 lengths over 5½f at Ballarat, and has not been produced since. Assisted by the rails draw and expected to play a major role. MISS LOTTIE (8) knuckled down strongly to get within 1.3 lengths of the winner in second last start over 5f at Tatura when coming back from a break. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Expecting a bold showing. ENCOURAGED (10) made significant late ground last start to get up for third over 5½f at Wangaratta. Another bold showing is expected. VIA VEGAS (5) is back after a break of three months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 6f at Wodonga. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
