HOT CITY (18) is yet to break through after three career starts. Could only manage to finish fifth last time out over 1m at Sandown-Hillside following a minor placing at Warrnambool over 7f the run prior. Finds a nice race and gets the chance to break through. SUBARCTIC (17) was always well out of his ground when 4.5 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1m1 1/4f at Newcastle last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Gosford the run before. Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. KUROSHINZO (3) is yet to break through in eight runs but has been thereabouts. Last start was 8 lengths away in fifth over 1m at Pakenham. Will drift back but wind up late. One to consider. NIGHT ACTION (7) faced the starter for the first time and finished tenth last start at Pakenham over 7f, beaten 5 lengths. Will take a lot from that last run and is worth following up.
