Group 1 winner WESTERN EMPIRE (2) lifted strongly to score by 2.5 lengths last time out over 6½f in the G3 Northam Stakes at the second run this prep. No reason he cannot make it two on end. MAGNIFICENT ANDY (9) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 6½f in the G3 Northam Stakes. Sure to be tough to hold out. Group 2 placegetter TRIPLE MISSILE (6) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 6½f in the G3 Northam Stakes.
