HARD PICK (1) improved sharply on his fifth two starts back at Hawkesbury with a win as favourite over 5½f at Mudgee three weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Meeting a deeper field this time but he can go back-to-back. CAN DO IT (5) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race when fresh from a lay-off last time out, finishing second and beaten only 0.6 lengths over 4f at Narromine. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. CATCHY TUNES (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5f at Muswellbrook, beaten 2.25 lengths into fifth after being prominent at the bend. Finds a nice race and can find winning form. PLAY THE RECORD (8) bounced back last start and got the job done by one length over 5f at Dubbo. Likely to be there at the finish again.
