Smart jumpers flat race performer VALGRAND (2) had little difficulty opening his account attempting a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter. Increased distance is in his favour and rates the one to beat. Musselburgh maiden hurdle winner SPEED DAVIS (1) could only finish fourth when penalised at Hexham. Might be capable of better up in trip. The point-to-point winning TOUCHWOODEXPRESS (4) was tailed off making hurdle debut. Earlier displayed promise in a jumpers flat race. Surely capable of better. BROCKARNO (3) looks best of the rest though likely will have plenty to find on all known form.
