IRISH GIFT (2) finished second, beaten 2.2.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Lismore. Likely improver with winning claims. KOBAYTERA (8) was in contention on the turn and finished third last time over 6f at Lismore, beaten 2.5 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing. HE'S POPLAR (1) finished 5 lengths from the winner in eighth at his most recent appearance over 5f136yards at Grafton after he was well back on straightening. Looks to be in the right race to figure in the finish.
