AMAPOLA (7) wasn't far away on debut last start over 6f at this track, finishing second and beaten 1.5 lengths. Open to improvement and looks a serious contender. ALTERMATUM (6) started favourite when resuming but found one better over 6f at Benalla. Will appreciate the extra ground. Worth another chance. DONEGAL BAY (13) has been in the betting at both starts but hasn't managed to live up to market expectations. Most recently finished fourth over 6½f at Bendigo, beaten 1.75 lengths. Worth considering. LADY SADLER (8) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when she was beaten 2.75 lengths into fourth over 7f at this track. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time.
