PERSIAN SPIRIT (14) was heavily backed and justified the support when resuming last start over 5f136yards at Geelong, scoring by 2.75 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement and is all set to make it two-for-two this prep. EYE OF THE EAGLE (5) started this campaign with a win two runs ago. Not as effective last time out when eighth over 7f21yards at Flemington, beaten 4 lengths. This doesn't look as hard so he is a leading player. ROADCONE (13) wound up strongly but just failed to pick up the winner when when resuming as favourite last start over 6f at Benalla. Should tighten right up following that outing. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is one of the primary contenders. LAA DE SHA (4) did a great job to score by 0.8 lengths over this course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. Likely to be there at the finish again.
