ALTERMATUM (9) was close to breaking through last time in work, closing the prep as favourite and finishing third at this track before a seven months break. Tricky draw to overcome. Ready for a bold run while fresh. AREYOUREADYFORIT (10) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 5f136yards at Geelong when second, beaten a nose. Has plenty of upside so she should pay to follow. LAKE FOREST (6) made debut at Pakenham and finished in the placings before going for another break. Fitter for a trial and must be included in calculations. JAKIVY (15) ran a better race last start, finishing 4.5 lengths away in fifth over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside. Nicely placed to find some form.
