PARANA RIVER (7) resumes from a lay-off of five months. Could only manage to finish fourth at the latest run over 5½f at Sale. Has ability and is a leading player. SPLICED (14) is appearing for the first time. By Exceed And Excel and is out of the A & S Freedman stable. Trialling in good style and looks forward enough. Watch the market closely.
